TFL LAUNCHES FUEL CELL BUSES PROCUREMENT

TFL LAUNCHES FUEL CELL BUSES PROCUREMENT Transport for London (TfL) has launched a tender for the bulk procurement of fuel cell buses as part of the JIVE project, an EU-funded initiative deploying 139 new vehicles across nine cities.
Working in partnership with Aberdeen, Birmingham and Dundee, TfL is inviting potential suppliers of fuel cell buses to join a framework for the supply of single- and double-decker vehicles to the cities and potentially further afield.

Taking a coordinated approach to purchasing large numbers of these buses should deliver increased standardisation and significant cost reductions, allowing the cities to realise their ambitious zero-emission bus adoption plans. We are delighted to have helped start this programme and look forward to continuing to support the partners in delivering the project.

More details on the tender are available from the contract notice published via the Official Journal of the EU.
